True or False: Shimano owns SRAM?

Maybe I heard wrong, but I thought someone passed along to me that Shimano now owns SRAM.
SRAM owns Avid and Truvativ (short for "truly innovative).

I've GOOGLED Shimano/SRAM, but found nothing.

Can someone square me away on this rumor please? Say it isn't so!

Carlyle Group and Onex Corp recently bought Allison Transmission and hope to acquire both Shimano and SRAM. Pass it on.

<irish>I believe ya, when me **** turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet</irish>

But seriously, Halliburton owns both SRAM and Shimano.

Hitler Holdings, LLC currently owns Campagnolo.

I am pretty sure Halliburton owns them. And Wal-Mart owns Halliburton.

SRAM, Truvativ, and Avid, are all one company.

Shimano does not own any of them.
