Black Friday Ride

So what are your plans for Black Friday? Sure, doing a Thanksgiving morning ride is easy; you haven't bulked up yet. But the day after...... that's where it gets tough!

I rode 17 miles this morning; I'd like to do twice that tomorrow. The only thing that will stop me is if the thunderstorms in the forecast get here early in the day. Wunderground says chance of t-storms; Intellicast says just rain (50%).

We did about 20 miles today and plan to do about the same tomorrow....although we have rain in the forecast here in Georgia too...so it might end up being a gym day instead....which opens at 9am.

Just another work day, there will be more traffic out and about.Instead of 2-3 cars running the red lights, there will be 4-5.

I didn't meet my goal, but at least I got out. I planned to ride 30-40 miles. Instead I just road the same route I did on Thanksgiving- about 17 miles. My plan was to head north, but the norther I got, the harder it rained. When the rain got too heavy I turned for home. Stopped off at the LBS for a cup of coffee, then finished my ride, the last mile or so was also a pretty good downpour.
