    Beat Zberg

Beat Zberg, a Swiss rider on the Dutch Rabobank team [for those of you who don't follow pro cycling] announced on Saturday that he is donating the prize money from his victory in stage 13 of the Vuelta a Espana [Tour of Spain] to the fund for victims of the September 11 attacks. The prize money is $3,000 US -- not a huge amount, but a noble gesture.

Too bad some of America's overpaid "pro" athletes (ie: football, baseball, basketball players) aren't as generous. This might be a better world.
