Need Ideas for Decorating Bicycle

I'm trying to decorate my bicycle and trailer for a Holiday Lights Bicycle Tour. The event is Dec. 19 so i have a bit of time to plan, but I want to really blow away the competition when they give out awards for Best Decorated Bike, Decorated Rider, and Decorated Helmet.

I need help coming up with ideas (the crazier the better) for bicycle decorations.

The best I've come up with so far:

I'm planing to make my flat bed bike trailer into a sleigh by adding painted wooden cutouts on each side. I was going to fill the sleigh with empty boxes wrapped to look like presents. For the helmet, i was thinking some antlers would be classy and go well with the 'pulling a sleigh' theme established by the trailer.

I'm not crazy about the presents as trailer-filler but i have not thought of anything better.

Please post your ideas of other things i could add to make people say "wow" when I ride by. I'm wanting to add lights, sounds, stuff that moves, anything to set my bike apart from the competition.

Bought stuff is great, but I am proficient at fabrication and basic electronics so if your idea is something I could build that is great too.

Thanks in advance,
-Ryan

Update:

My wife decided she wants to decorate her bicycle as well.

She picked a 'candycane' theme for her bicycle. She wants a basket on the handlebars full of candycanes to give out to kids, and I think maybe some canycane cutouts in the spokes, but I'm not sure what else we can do to carry the theme throughout the bike.

The "over the top" people are in the boat parades. Get ideas from them and just downsize.

I would get a bunch of the the flashing christmas lights, a car battery and a small inverter and have at it. I like the candy cane theme...just don't tell my wife or I will have to do that for our Christmas parade

somebody makes light up rims - I distinctly recall people gofing on the concept, but here is a valid use!

Anyway, make use of those LED ropes - they come in white and red, which would support the candy-cane theme...

I think I want to integrate some of those 'flameless' LED candles onto my bike. I have not decided exactly how or where, but I think candles have a very 'holiday' feel to them and the parade starts at 7PM so it will be quite dark.

Another element I want to add is Jingle Bells. My bike is not suspended so every little bump could add a little jingle to the ride.

I think i have a few friends talked into joining us in the festivities. I'm not sure how 'hardcore' they'll get with decorating, but any ideas that I can't use I'll pass along to them.

Wrap her bike with red & white vinyl electrician's tape or crepe paper in a spiral around all the tubes...

Collect plastic gasoline cans. Put bows on them, put a big pile on the trailer.
