my idea was to get 4 or 5 of these and race em on a go cart track......with an optional seat

the weird part about them is you have to stand and while pedaling you automatically want to sway the bike back and forth for leverage.......but you cant....and ya tend to turn the handle bars instead

i was almost gunna turn it into a electric scooter

Tightwad, I wouldn't be surprised if we're back to bicycles when we have private hands claiming and selling off all the earth's resources rapidly. Sounds like we can't wait to plunder the Moon and Mars next if we can possibly get that land into a few private hands for rich rewards.

Yes, it sounds heavy, 65lbs, but most are lighter than the "it" model, but older/adults will not be able to use.
Single gear on "it". That recumbant someone displayed looked more geared for more serious riding with at least a 5 speed on the photo, no doubt many times the 5, for whatever many times the five is worth versus a large blister on your gear changer thumb.
I think it's more eye candy than serious riding. Kiddy fun customizing it further, probably more fun with that than actually riding.
However, I've discovered that big black plate on what would be the crossbar is actually a place to stand and "surf" on the thing. A surfing plate.

Yes, Junky, motorizing and racing would be interesting. It certainly has nearly automotive quality steering linkage.

One thing I was wondering, on the "It" model. Those large front wheels, what are they normally used for. They must have seen these tires on some other product and said "we can use them!" - so:-

could it be one of those real motorized "go kart" track racing tires (ah yes, I now see Go Kart in your lines, Junky)? I'll have to search to see what a go cart looks like.

they are go cart 10" slicks with steel rims

i call it a cross between a go cart/scooter/bicycle.....and yes thats a scooting/surfing deck

if you took off the cranks you could easily scoot with it....enuff room for both feet side by side....well my feet

i got it cuz of the wierd/fun aspect....never as transportation

Ah yes CE, Ha Ha, if they had only used the TTIWWP terminology or CB radio talk (such as "Responder: That's a 10-258,417,229 good buddy", it would have kept me out of hot water wouldn't it.

So Junky, the smaller WRFF's tires look like they may be smaller and plastic. Are they go kart tires, or something else?
Also, does the surfing plate/deck thing stand up to wear and tear or does it break after the first time you jump a little too hard on it? Same question for the front and rear plastic mudguards - do they stand up to wear and tear, or are they all broken off on your machine, or for that matter, did you take them off for some reason?
I think one could do some cool customizing to these machines to make them look even more strangely interesting.

I think we almost need both machines. The big one looks stranegly solidly cool with quality components, and need the small one too for zipping around on with 20lbs less weight.

ok i just found these and they remind me of the wrff ......funny thing was i thought about removing the slicks and putting on 12" mags so it would have less resistance.......now i know what it would look like

well opt.....they look like go cart slicks to me....very thick.....doubt a nail could make it thru them unless you hammered it in......all the fenders are still there as well as the plate/deck....i got it from some kid and he rode it alot so its seen some use....not much from me tho......i really dont think you could break the deck unless your 400 lbs......im 180 and it doesnt even bend......everything on it is built sturdy, even the plastic......i wish i could let you examine it personally.......try a wanted ad on craigslist locally

When I got the link working "pacific-cycle", all I noticed was the in-step strollers, so I suppose it would look like a reverse stroller with all 3 wheels spoked. A roof to keep the rain off, even more interesting.
So you think the small wrff's use go kart wheels too. They look like plastic wheels to me, v's the steel of the larger "it" wrff although hard to tell on the photos.
Yes, it all looks very sturdy, and you say the pastic is too. Built like a tank.

hmmmmm....it worked before....anyway they are pedal powered golf carts and guess what design they picked

they look like the wrff with 12" bicycle wheels in front instead of the slicks.......and the golf bag goes in the front......they also did what i did and added a regular seat......i knew i should have copied and posted a pic

the front end folds in for storage and it looks like they used the fat 4" schwinn stingray back rim

Unfortunatly this forum does not offer this in their list of smileys so i just typed it in assuming that most people who participate in this forum would have been exposed to it on other forums around the interwebs. No, I hadn't spotted that one in the brands offered, I suppose I didn't check the golfing items, not expecting to find anything there. Yes, actually I think it would be fantastic for golfers, to take off that spare (go kart slick) tire. So do you think they'll buy it, ha ha, no way Jose.
I'd been thinking it could have been something used by cops, so they can patrol city or popular/beach areas and be able to lug around some heavier accessories.
Doesn't look as cool without the slicks though.
The rear cast look wheel looks good, but I think it would look more like a stroller with them in all three places?, but would take a bit of weight off the beast. Some thin solid plate (steel or aluminum) wheels with neat custom automotive design and thin bike tires or similar might be a good alternative/accessory for the thick slicks.
The weight is probably in the frame though, and it'll need it having no crossbar/frame structure, so the only other weight reduction would be a handlebar/steering change to aluminum.

I noticed the front wheels on the things really turn. They look like they'll have a huge turning radius, but on the vids they turn sharp corners.

SSPX6581.jpg i was watching nitro circus and i wanted a trike and i found this in my friends backyard so he sold it to me for 5$. my friends brother ran it over with a car on accident and i dont know what they did with the back wheel so i put a wheel on it from an old scooter. it was sitting in the sun for a cupple years befor that. i didnt think it would be worth anything so i kicked off all the plastic and spraypainted it gold then me and me and my friends took it to a big hill and messed around on it and bent the front axle

That would be a neat look if you could only get it to work with a wheel that small. It's a pity the wheel change won't reduce the weight of the machine much, as the standard plastic rear wheel probably doesn't weight much. Yes, find a bigger wheel that'll work for you and paint it gold - I like that gold look you have going.
