Teaching our kids early
My kids' favorite show had a positive bike portrayal this morning. Higglytown Heros on the Disney Channel has a different hero every episode. This morning, it was a bike mechanic, complete with blue spiky hair. (Perhaps they go to the store near me). And he was fixing a bike used to haul newspapers to the local recycling station. Very nice. Too bad it was on at 6:30 on a Sat morning.

Yes, I don't often watch the Disney Channel by myself at 6:30 in the a.m. Or ever for that matter. My son just was amazed that a bike like his could pull a trailer of newspapers to the recycling center. I had to stop him from trying to tie his wagon to his bike later that afternoon.

I've discovered the solution for that problem. My youngest is 31 and they've all got their own places. Now I get up at whatever time my wife tells me.
