Is this true about Sheldon Brown?!

I participate in a local cycling forum here in Nova Scotia and I came accross this post about Sheldon.

    http://www.ecmtb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=52562

Is this true? Is this THE Sheldon Brown? Or another?

I've look over BikeForums and do not find anything......

Click on the View New Posts link at the top of the forum. There are many Sheldon threads and some have been on the front page of the new posts since yesterday.. Pretty much one in each sub-forum. I think there's a sticky over in Single Speed / Fixed Gear, if that helps.

    Sad sad news, for sure.

Sorry. I did do a search but could not find anything, must have been flustered about the news.

the cyclist community, in appreciation of Sheldon Brown may he RIP Certinaly numerous individuals remember him.
When I go biking, I repeat a mantra of the day's sensations: bright sun, blue sky, warm breeze, blue jay's call, ice melting and so on. This helps me transcend the traffic, ignore the clamorings of work, leave all the mind theaters behind and focus on nature instead. I still must abide by the rules of the road, of biking, of gravity. But I am mentally far away from civilization. The world is breaking someone else's heart. ~Diane Ackerman

Almost every forum on BF had a thread about Sheldon's passing by mid-day Monday. You must have been sleeping.

Dunno, but he had other health concerns. There could have been a connection. Perhaps it was just his time to go.

I miss his cheerfulness around here.

I think Sheldon had several strikes against him, but it can happen to anyone.

Like Jim Fixx who had a lot to do with the running/jogging increase in the 70's and 80's. He died of a massive heart attack after a run...

But Fixx was very unhealthy before he took up running fairly late in his life, and had several premature deaths among his closest relatives.

I think he also had elevated homocysteine levels, that's what caused his heart attack.
