    cup holders

Hey is anyone using the Soma coffee cup holder? I'm thinking about getting it, but I wonder if my bike will look to cluttered to lights, coffee cup holders, rear rack, and wheel covers. Practical? Or cluttered?

If you need a coffee cup holder, don't hold yourself back. I don't drink coffee while riding but if you need your coffee, then you need this new thing. What about a horn or bell? Front rack? Fenders?

I'm investing in some front/rear fenders as well. I have a rear rack right now, and a light. I guess the coffee holder wouldn't be too much.

I have the Soma set as well as some cheapo coffee holder ring. The Soma one cost a lot more and came with the mug. The mug sucks. It leaked and sprayed when I hit a bump and the plastic kept the taste of whatever I put in it (not too much of a problem if you only drink coffee out of it). I gave up on the mug in favor of an all steel one.

The holder itself was good quality and uses a cateye mount. If you use a certain model(s) of cateye lights one mount will work for both (not at the same time) and you can at least take the mount off when not using it.

The cheapo mount holds a cup just as well as the Soma, but it's always on the bike and has no mug. It's a little more clutter than the Soma.

Ahh...excuse me, but are you asking a bunch of people who'll never see your bike if it will look too cluttered?
FWIW, I've only see one of those holders, on sale a year or so ago, and thought about buying it but didn't. Now I wish I had one but can't find one. But I LIKE the way my commuter looks with baskets and junk all over it. YMMV.

Won't your cup of coffee fit into your bottle cage?

Two wheels good. Four wheels bad.
