My ideal bike club. Cycling and Diving. Especially For So. Cal

Why not combine these two sports..? Many Southern California cyclists out there who are also divers? Combine our activities into one physical setting. Probably organize the groupings into those more oreinted to diving and those cycling. Would we strive for 50/50 split of activites.
One motivation for the bike/dive club.. Besides love of both sports..( Describe myself as somewhat more obsessed by cycling at this stage of life.) I want a dive flag and bike club jersey that combines cycling/diving.
My bike jersey / dive flag/club flag would be the scuba flag with a red sillhouette of a road bike super imposed at the center of the diagonal white strip.
Any So Cal divers/bikers out there.? What do you think of the idea. Could it be organized locally or its unitqueness require a regional approach.?

At one point I used to ride with a group of guys and we would set up trips consisting of mtb'ing, rock climbing, sailing, diving(scuba), surfing and skiing.

There were about 10 of us but we nere not an "official" club. It was a great time though.

Sounds like an all purpose sport club..Convenient. Must have been a great time... Really like the idea of a bike imposed over a dive flag..Heah..A trip to Catalina. Could mtn. bike and dive...Pretty busy.... Difficult getting all that gear over there though...

Actually a couple of the guys had their own boats so we would sail over there and do just like you said, ride, dive, sail and we also had the jetskis.

Back then we were all single, had jobs we could ditch for a few days and realy no responsibilities. All our money went to "enjoying life" so to speak, living out of our trucks and some of the guys lived on their boats.

every now and then i wish I could get back there but I have to much in my life now that I do not want to give up (little girl, wife). We still do some trips from time to time but now they are more like family outing rather then 4 day parties
