07 Trek 7.5 FX good deal?

I was at a LBS yesterday and they have a 2007 Trek 7.5 FX NEW OLD STOCK for $650.00
I was wondering if this is that great of a deal? This would be my first "real bike" purchase and I wasn't sure if that was a good price for a year old bike?

Retail is $789.00 on the Trek website. So it's not a smoking deal but what you would expect a 2007 would be going for. Those seem to be popular these days so it might not stick around to long. Just make sure it fits.

Just paid $789 for the '08 model and feel it's worth every penny. If the $140 difference means a lot to you, then go for the '07 model, for sure.

Just a little update...
I went back to the LBS this weekend and was told to speak with the owner on Monday to see if he was willing to offer a better deal on the bike . I spoke with him over the phone this morning and he told me that he would take $625.00 cash/check or debit NO credit card for the bike!
This also includes life time maintenance & truing the wheels, etc...

I don't think I'm going to find a better deal on a new bike!
I'm going to take it for one more test ride after work and if I have no second thoughts I will be the owner of an 07 Trek FX 7.5!

I'd hit it.

That's a really good deal.

you know what else? i rode bikes alot when i was a kid, but the 7.3 made me realize how much fun it could be as an adult... especially as part of a healthy lifestyle. i was 310 pounds, diet and excercise got me down to to 30, and im hoping cycling this summer can take me to 189 if i work hard at it. i figured i'd enjoy the 7.5 even more than the 7.3 because of the fork, better wheels, andbetter components... what do you guys think?
