If This Be Global Warming......

The past few days have been absolutely spectacular in central Maryland. Satruday it was 82 and it was just as nice, if not better on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday! Imagine, cycling in the first week of November, wearing shorts, a short-sleeved jersey and sweating up a storm!

But, as all good things come to an end, Indian Summer is beginning to wind down and it will be back to the cold of November!

But, boy was it great!

Not to worry. We made up for your warm weather with unseasonably cold weather out here on the Left Coast.

It's been a bit unseasonably cool here too. Usually by November we've packed the doonas away and are sleeping with just a sheet. It's still far too cool for that.

Yes, we've been blessed with the same weather since Saturday here in Philadelphia. But leaving for home today, there was a chill and some drizzle in the air, a fog was rolling in, and I was regretting not bringing my leg warmers.

It was a cool wind, it was a damp wind, but for once, it was a tail wind!

Don't know about you, but I've been doing the whole cold shower/sleeping with just a single sheet since September -- and that's just to keep the mosquitoes away from my feet.

see? ruining the environment has its advantages, right?

I could have done without the humidity.

That is a euphemism for f@#$ing cold. It wa 19F in my yard in downtown Everett this morning. Beautiful commute as long as I didn't have to stop for to long. Friday I have an 80 mile peddle planned hope they are right when they say the temperatures are returning to normal.

Well, it was only 35 deg. on Sunday morning. Being from the East Coast originally, I wouldn't go as far as "f@#$ing cold". :D It eventually warmed up to about 55 deg. by the end of the day but made it hard to decide what to wear for the race, though.

It snowed in Cradle Mountain, North Western Tasmania on November 1 (late Spring). A couple of inches which stuck around until midday. :) Back home in Adelaide i'ts 30oC and blue skies... Very weird. :)
