question about what bike.
 

Okay I want to buy a bike to ride around lakes and what not in the summer probably ride like 15 miles or so a day. But the one problem is that there isnt straight gravel but rocks on the road every so often. I dont wanna spend more then 800 dollars. I was wondering how hybrids would be like half road half mountain bike.

Many hybrids will fit the bill for this type of riding. Should be able to get something good well within your price range. Remember, last year's models will get you more bike for less money. Determine what type of surface you will be riding on for the majority of the time and go from there. If it is a paved surface, narrower tires for speed, if mostly unpaved wider, knobier tires for traction and stability. Go to a bike store with a good reputation, explain what you want to get out of the bike, and what price range you are in. They should be able to steer you toward a great bike probably made by a major brand name, Trek, Giant, Specialized etc. Hope this helps.
