Here it is, late November, temperature is +8 C, 45 F. I was in downtown Toronto tonight to pick up my MS BikeTour jersey from the summer, I couldn't believe the number of cyclists out and about!! In about 15 minutes of downtown driving at around 8:00 pm, I saw about 25 cyclists on the road (about half with lights, half without) and there must have been another 25 or 30 bikes parked on sidewalks. Most of the travellers were singles, saw a couple of groups of 2 or 3.
I don't know if the parked bikes were shoppers or drinkers or late workers, but there was a lot of them!
Does anywhere else in North America have this kind of bike activity downtown this late in the year? I've been to Ottawa and saw lots of bikes around, but nothing like Toronto on a Thursday night!
