Another Saddle question

I'm looking at a replacement saddle and have checked out Brooks and Selle Anatomicas. Came very close to buying one of the Anatomicas when I ran across the Selle SMP beak-nosed saddles. Do any of you have one of these saddles, and if so, how do you like it?

I do not have either saddle. However I am constantly reading about saddles and researching saddles. My Fizik Aliante Sport is comfortable but so far this year I have not been able to get it dialed in like last year.

I rarely find anything about the Selle Anatomica and only recently started finding enough Selle SMP comments to see a decisive trend. Occasionally I will see someone comment that the Selle SMP did not work for them. Most of the comments indicate very high satisfaction for the Selle SMP. They better be for the price.

Here is a demo program if you are willing to wait.

One bicycle shop had a contest for coming up with a phrase that the SMP initials stood for. Support My Prostrate was the winner and a new SMP saddle was the prize.

I think I'm leaning towards the Selle Anatomica...not sure I can get used to the look of the SMP. I've read almost universal praise for both saddles so it goes right back to whether or not it's comfortable for the person buying it and the only way to find out is to ride on it. It's encouraging, however, to see a general consensus on both though. It gives one hope that the saddle that's finally purchased will be comfortable...

I have been riding the Selle SMP Strike for about a year and a half. It has been great. The stock Bontrager I had left me numb or in pain. I remember the first couple of months it was a little uncomfortable on the inside of the legs, since this is where the support is. It took a lot of repositioning to get the Selle just right, but it was worth it. I haven't been numb since.

The model I purchased was just under 100 bucks. I do get some weird looks and questions. It doesn't look fast at all, but then, nothing about me or my riding is fast. I definitely recommend it (and so does the wife).

I think Brooks is also coming out with an anatomical cutout saddle, someone was testing it and posted a couple of pics somewhere.

 You'd better believe they are and right now many members of this forum are testing and reviewing this.

Have a look at the Classic forum.
