Hip Arthoroscopy - Anyone had it?
Getting it soon and curious about recovery time and time off of work. (Not that I love work but I love eating and living indoors). Was starting back into cycling and had a run in with a van that didn't see me. Thanks.

The only "do no harm" advice is.......
Follow your doctors advice no matter what you read here.

suffering from a second broken hip but not that procedure yet, my only advice tabout recovery time is don't skimp on the physical therapy. preventing downtime atrophy. calcium is more usable when taken concurrent with magnesium (proven).
i have an approch using ginko, ginko encouraging blood flow to bone heads similar to how it increases oxygenation of the spinal cord and decreases oxygen sickness at altitude, but this is something to research on your own, ask a naturopath about and form your own conclusions.
definetly follow the docs advice. Best of luck on a speedy recovery!

I have had a simple athroscopy on a knee to remove cartilidge and I was only in hospital for a day. the following day I was on crutches, and after that i could walk. I talk it easy for a week or so and after that was pretty ok.
Not sure how much different a hip is, but arthroscopes are very non-invasive meaning recovery times are much shorter than other methods of surgery.
Good luck with it!
