Shimano "long reach" brakes and fenders

Are Shimano's new "long reach" brakes really compatible with fenders? Do the fenders need to be cut or modified, or can the fenders fit between the brake calipers without modification? This relates to a custom frame I'm planning, so the long reach feature can be accomodated by the frame design.

Thanks

Actually, they are STANDARD reach. No one makes LONG reach anymore. Shimano makes standard reach sidepulls in RX100 and Ultegra600. Both are compatible with fenders. Rivendell installs them on their Romulus road bike.

As an aside, not that you or most people will need or want them, but the RX100s are available in the non-recessed, nutted type.

I use the non-recessed style of 57mm drop Shimano dual pivot. My frame has plenty of room for 32mm tyres + fenders, and the brake blocks are nowhere near the bottom of the slots.
Are the recessed style of brake compatable with fenders?
