Good deals on GoreTex, Coolmax but expire Sunday, 12/14

Sierra Tradingpost has some excellent prices on a couple of items:

Frank Shorter GoreTex jacket $39.95! Apparently a lightweight shell, but I have NEVER seen anything GoreTex this inexpensive. I prefer light jackets I can layer anyway.

Duofold CoolMax turtlenecks $6.95. Seem perfect for layering under the above jacket! However, when you go to the website the price is $8.95 The email I got has the $6.95 price, and a phone call to STP confirmed it. Apparently there is a little glitch. The customer service rep said to put a note in the order instructions. They may have this fixed by the time you see this.

There are also some Northwave cycling shoes a good prices, and kids' fleece scarves for $2.97. I ordered one for myself. The only difference is that they are 2" shorter than the "adult". Big whoop.

Here is a link to the list of items. Hope ya'll can use some of it.

I guess I didn't move fast enough on the jacket, they're gone, but thanks for the lead.

I love STP and have bought a ton of stuff from them but always be sure to check what your card is actually charged versus what the confirmation email says - there was a $2-3 discrepancy on my last order - I caught it and complained and got a voucher for my troubles but let the buyer beware

mtessmer,
I just completed my order and also rechecked the product listing. As far as I can tell the GoreTex jackets are still available. If you really want one try again. Here is the specific address:

Thanks! I just ordered a gold jacket. I hope it is worth it, not a bad gamble though. I put in a new email address and got the 5% off too!

I ordered gold, too! Guess it's our gang color!

I think it is worth the gamble. I don't think I have ever seen anything GoreTex for less than $100. I like that it is light. We don't get bitter cold down here, VERY few nights where it gets below freezing. This should be just the ticket for a cold drizzle.

Went with the red, b/c they didn't show gold in full size to see what the color actually looked like (not sure from the little square whether that gold would end up more yellow or orange in life size. Would have preferred blue, but waited too long, so they were out of my size).

That was my first order, so I was giving them a new email, but I didn't get another 5% off as 520commuter posted - did I miss something??

Well, to those of you who hesitated you missed a pretty darn good deal. The Goretex jacket is a beauty and designed for us, well, runners actually, but works just as well for cyclists. It is one light layer with 2-way zipper, reflective piping (even a reflective stripe inside the zipper!), and a zippered rear pocket that is also a storage pouch for the jacket. The "gold" color is what I would call school bus yellow. This was a great buy at $39.95!

I got the jacket, the coolmax shirt, and sunglasses with three different lenses. With the cheap shipping, it came in at about $92. I love the jacket- it came yesterday, and I wore it over my fleece jacket and coolmax shirt with my armwarmers, and I didn't get cold at all while riding. Still, it wasn't that cold. Today, though, we'll see- it's only in the 20s right now, so it will be a good test. I got the red one, and it was certainly impressive looking. I love it!

Thanks for the tip!

Yes, I want to thank you for the lead too! I got my Goretex jacket the other day and it's a beauty! For the price I wasn't expecting much but it's just as nice as my old Jacket (ten years old) that I paid $180 for! Thanks again!
