Anyone Selling Vintage Silca Floor Pumps Circa 1990?

In the market for a floor pump, replacing a Zefal (German) purchased 1987 and have been overdosing on internet reviews of all available models. I like the concept of unit being serviceable with replacement parts (brass valve heads and leather gaskets), this seems to be Silca's specialty. However, articles boil down to early models (1990 and earlier) built with Columbus tubing that work correctly for years and years versus what the company is building now which are getting negative or at best mixed reviews. Topeak, Blackburn, Wrenchforce, Serfas and Zefal all get high marks except for the fact that when they malfunction you have to toss them as made in China with no user serviceable parts. For $75 or more initial cost that's disturbing. Anyone know of a source for early Silca Pistas or Super Pistas? Willing to pay more for a good used unit from the early years.

Check out the SKS Rennkompressor. The 75 year anniversary model specifically. I know a pro team mechanic who has used one for over 15 years with no problems. The 75 year model is built the same as they were years ago, without the horrible smart head and such.

    BTW, Zefal is French.

In the event another interested cyclist comes across this brief discussion: I checked out the Rennkompressor 75th Anniversay model in online reviews--it earned a 5 out of 5 star average for something like 8 reviews, the best I've found for any pump. Reviews state topping off a roadbike tire at 120 psi is a piece of cake with this baby. Went to Amazon and snatched one for $64.00 (shipping was free!!!) There were only three left. Now there's two. Also found spare washers for the pump if needed. I like the fact it comes equipped for Presta only. There's an adapter out there for about five bucks that will allow you to use the pump to fill tires equipped with Schrader valves if the occasion arises. Apparently this model is the standard by which all other pumps are judged on the Continent. No one stocks it here in the U.S., where we are inundated with Chinese -made units from all manufacturers. Don't know who Amazon's suppliers are. When you google this model most of the hits are German, British, and Holland-based bike supply websites. This pump has a steel tube, a cast iron base, all metal parts and is basically indestructible at 8 pounds. The Zefal Maxi it is replacing was 2 pounds of plastic. Sweet pump sweet deal who could ask for more???
