Peugeot Marseille - Men's bike or Women's bike??
I'm going to be purchasing a Peugeot Marseille road bike tomorrow but when I see the picture of it, it looks like a women's road bike. Maybe it's because of the rather smaller frame. The original owner is a woman and she told me that it is a men's bike but judging by the pictures, I can't help but wonder if it truly is a men's bike. Could you give me some insight?
If this picture doesn't work, e-mail me at rok2usa@gmail.com and I will show you via e-mail. Thanks!

Hello David, that is definitely a bike which would be considered a 'man's bike'. It has a traditional diamond frame, instead of a step through frame.
Many of my bikes are 'men's bikes' by virtue of the diamond frame, but I have a couple of mixtes, one step through, and a modern bicycle with a sloping top tube .

Yup, seen the bike before, a mens alright. Might look a bit more macho if you ditch the white tape!

Ah, glad to hear that it is indeed a men's bike. Thanks for your warm welcome to BikeForums! If you would like, I'll keep you posted on the bike and its specific details and components once I pick it up later today.

You didn't even know for sure by looking at it, but if it had been labeled "women's", you'd reject it? How silly! Just what sort of ill do you think would befall you if, heaven forfend, you should be caught riding something labeled as a women's bike? Would the sky fall? Would the earth open and swallow you up? All because of a label?

Haha, no need to get so uptight deraltekluge, this is a personal preference and I don't see why you should have anything to do with it. I just personally want a men's bike and that's it. I confirmed with the seller and bought it today. Why don't you stop meddling in other people's preferences. Thanks.

I have some cousins that will strip it and apply a spiffy primer type finish for you. That'll erase any thoughts of a wimmins looking bike!
