Shirt under bibs?

I know your not suppose to wear underwear under your shorts but what if i were to wear a underarmour long sleeve shirt under the bib shorts? Does that work ok?

Ive worn an underarmour short sleeve shirt under my bibs with no problem. If you look at some bike shop catalogs (colorado cyclist, excel sports, performance) they show models in the bibs with some kind of sport undershirt on underneath. I didnt have any rubbing problems or anything like that so I say go for it.

If it is cool very often I choose bibs..They in and of themselves are warmer. So if it is cool, a base layer would be a wicking material undershirt...Often, that combination and a light jacket is enough to last you until it warms up, when going out on early AM rides. Here in California in particular. Might take off on an early AM ride it is in the mid-50's, but before you get home it is 70... Then don't even need a long sleeve jersey... Take along arm warmers and you can peel off layers as the thermomether goes up...

Heah all . What is this UnderArmour...? Often you see advertised those "Craft' wicking undershirts. Same thing.? .This is just a base layer...?
Don't think the underwear Nazi gets excited about T shirts.? . That kind of base layer does not bulk up under a jersey, like shorts do..
Purpose is just to stay warm and wick water.
Don't understand why the Nazi gets so upset about the
'panty line'.... Lots of males appreciate a panty line on females...and speculate whether it is a thong or not? Not talking about Biking shorts here, Nazi; just slacks in general. .....But then if a female rider has a panty line showing on her bike shorts, mabye it causes most Male cyclist to speed up and win the race?
I am not an adherent of underwear below bike shorts, find them unnecessary- so Nazi don't get your knickers up...
Sorry for the run on thread. Just wondered if Nazis are on line on this holiday....

Back to edit my earlier entry..- I must utilize bike shops exclusively and not enough general sports stores. I was just reading "Big 5's" ad segment.....I see UnderArmour advertised. I have never seen "Under Armour' in a bike shop. Thought it suggested some kind of body armour like moutain bikers use during trick rides. And yes, undershirts go under bib's in our household, also...Jerseys get top billing.

Performance has been having some good sales on their winter apparel as of late. I bought two of their wicking sleeveless T's for $25 a few weeks ago. Great base layer in both winter and all but the hottest summer days. And I wear bibs year-round.

I never wear a base layer when it is hot as hell. Wicking qualities or not..Extra layers can't help block out the heat. Some report they do.. Can't imagine wearing more clothes than you need when it is super hot. Just seems counter productive.

That was my guess.
Somebody wearing two layers on a hot day is making a style statement. At least until he passes out

not sure about underarmour but I wore a fishnet type
coolmax base layer at HHH this year, as well as during
the Texas Heat and it does work, felt more comfortable.
Undee shirts, coolmax, base layers all go under bibs.
