Road Bike Question

I wanted to pick up a road bike and saw one on craigslist. I am 5'10" and ride a 20" Trek Hybrid. Will a 60cm road bike be a good fit for me or not?

Probably be too big. A 56cm frame would most likely fit better.

20 inches = 50.8 centimeters (google)

I'm 6' and my best fit is 54 cm.

Don't run red lights, wear a helmet, use hand signals, get some cycle lights(front and rear) and, FFS, don't run red lights!

True, but the seat post is generally lower on a hybrid due to the sloped top tube, so it's like apples and oranges.

But yeah, 56 is probably where to start fitting someone who's 5'10".

Im 5'8 riding a 2006 Specialized Allez in 54cm. fit is pretty good, I dont really like riding in the drops much, however...probably just me (out of shape ) a 56cm is probably a good starting point!

you will need to have your inseam measured aswell.

my inseam is 31 inchs, about 5'9 n half

i test rode a 54cm frame and found it nice and fit well, but in another brand it did not. The 56 was best on that bike. Some also come in 55cm which might be the best choice, it just depends..get fit on them
