Champion C9 tees as cycling jerseys?
Can Champion C9 tees (currently on sale at Target for $7.99 til 8/2/08) be used as cycling jerseys (minus the triple pockets in the rear) in regards to the wicking moisture aspect?
They have solid colors w/ "Duo Dry fabric".

I wear those in step and spinning class all of the time. They are great shirts for the money. They have held up really well. I have used the tanks a couple of time for rides and they let a lot of air through. They flap a bit in the wind, but for casual riding, I think they are fine.

Yes. Very common for commuters to use them. Also, comparable athletic shirts from walmart, kohls, sears, etc.
They also make a base layer that I may try out under my jerseys soon.

Yes, any of the cheap athletic shirts such as the C9 you mentioned or the Starter shirts at Wal-Mart work great as a cycling shirt as long as you don't need the pockets. One thing to note is that they have the fit of a T-shirt which is a bit different, cycling shirts are made to fit properly when your body is leaning forward and is a bit longer in the back to keep your lower back from showing when leaning forward.

"Full Kit" does not include C9 or Starter or any sort of t-shirt.
I think they work just fine for cycling. In my world, anyway.

Other than the fact they snag somewhat easily, they work great. Issue I have with them is when they snag (like on a brier) they get a hole rather quickly.

You can also find the tighter sports shirts to work too, if you don't want it to be flapping while you're riding.
It worked fine for me on a nice 20 mile ride..

The one I have works great for me. I got one with retroreflective piping and some bright orange on the sides and it makes me more visible.
