Bank drive thru's

Just thought That I would throw this out there, I've heard a lot of negativity about bank drive thru's, but my bank rocks. I opened another account there Friday and thought to ask the lady that helped me if they let bikes go through and she said that they did. I tried it today, and it was pretty cool. They came to the window and acted like it was just an ordinary transaction, no big deal. It was pretty neat.

I use the drive-up teller at my bank all the time. Never had a problem - mostly the tellers seem amused. I've never thought to ask if it was ok...

From a prior discussion, I gather it is wise to ask before opening an account.

Hmmmm.......I don't think so ,mate. If I gotta ask to deposit ,or do other bank business, with
a bank then that bank doesn't want my business no matter what kinda vehicle (bike, car etc.)
I arrive at their window in/on.

I will not tolerate any form of discrimination even against bikes.

Just to add some flavor, I got a letter from my old bank telling me I couldn't use the drive up ATMs on my bike. That's why they are my old bank.

They matched my account information from the time stamp on the security camera.

I always use the drive up when on my bike. No problems whatsoever!

But, last time, the teller did ask if I wanted a sucker.

Sooooo --- I asked for lemon, and got a yeller one....

I've never had a problem at my bank - however, I do usually take off my helmet so there are no issues with ID.

Hummmm, don't know why you would want to wait in line behind a pack of cars blowing exhaust at you but each their own I guess. I just chain my bicycle up at the front of the bank and walk in.

Are we not like other vehicles? No line, just rode up. Besides , I was just offering my 2 cents.

One of the nice things about being retired, is no lines. I simply go when it's not busy, and take my pick of auto holes.....

If no line, I wouldn't mind going through drive thru..... Although I think it's lazy of people that cars go through the drive thru, I always walk in even in my car. It's just me I guess. It's also a complete waste of gas for cars to wait at a drive-thru... just our lazy car driving culture I guess. It's bad when I saw a woman walking her dog while driving her SUV the other day..... now that's pathetic.

Although it's better to use a bicycle drive up window then drive a car in any circumstance.

I do use my bicycle at the drive up ATM though unless a car is there.

Anyhow, if you are riding a bicycle for any purpose, you are doing something right.....
