How many do you usually smoke during a ride?

I passed a rider this morning that was smoking a cigarette as he was riding along. He was on the opposite side of the street so I couldn't bum one off him. I think it was a Newport anyway...yeech!
So anyway how many do you usually smoke when you ride. And do you keep the pack in your sock or just roll it up in your sleeve?

A Newport? EEEWWWWW

I don't usually smoke while riding, but that depends.

I normally carry a pack of Camel Non-Filters and a lighter in the top of my right pannier, but once I'm rolling I don't like to stop. Except for traffic control devices and if I see something useful on the side of the road. Then, if I'm stopped anyway, I might light one up before i start rolling again.

there is a kid on my commute I see riding and smoking. I am not making this up. He rides a MTB and does not wear a helment and rides into traffic, smoking a cigarette. pretty sharp feller.

Yesterday I smoked two 'casual' riders on my commuter... I was waiting at a red light when I saw em going the wrong way on the sidewalk across the street, then they cut across 4lanes to get to my side (going the right direction now). So when the light went green I couldn't resist blasting past them.

I once worked with a programmer for about 1 year who at lunch would go jogging while smoking. Not just once but every jogging lunch he did. The oddest thing I've ever seen. He'd go for like 4 miles doing this.

Really ****ing pointless Bill, why don't you go chill out and get over whatever's bothering you in RL before you waste time trolling on the forums ok?

Yeah, I just smoked a couple of riders on my afternoon ride as well. I'd say their average ages were about 18 (one was 30, one was 6).

As special as you racing someone who didn't know who was racing. If anyone was trolling, it's you. And you did a pretty **** job of it I might add.

I found it mildly humorous, particularly in light of the wrong-side-of-the-road-on-the-sidewalk thing. Good job Xeno.

Back in the early 1980s I was runung a half marathon. 15 minutes before the start a gal sitting by her car next to mine mentions she's really nervous, what to do? I say "just do what you regularly do to relax; maybe stretch, or close your eyes and breath deep?" She reaches into her car, grabs a pack of Pall Malls, and smokes one (and I mean DEEP inhaling!). Lights another one and doesn't put it out until walking over to the starting line when the 5-minute horn sounds. Amazing (but she did look relaxed!).

Jeez lighten up people,
Its meant to be a funny comment. Especially in light of the original topic being about Smoking Cigarettes, not other bikes.
I didn't seriously want to feel 'special'. Just laugh alright?

That sounds like me with the kids, we were once over taken by an old woman with a cane and a pistol on her hip. We'd passed her earlier, and you know kids they like to stop and pick berries and throw rocks in the creek, next thing you know a woman walking 1mph breezes right by.
