Suggestions? Need warmers for arthritic knees for the winter. . .

I have osteoarthritic knees. Last winter it took me ages to warm them up enough to feel comfortable enough to ride and it was quite a long, cool winter around here.

I want to be able to warm the knees up more quickly this winter. I think I need something wind-proof and insulating, and for certain times it would be good to be able to start out with some sort of heat.

Any suggestions?

I use ordinary knee warmers, then when it gets closer to freezing, I add windfront tights.

I've also had good experience with those Ace blue, neoprene knee braces you get at the drugstore for $10 or $12 each. They're flexible enough for cycling, and warm enough that even below freezing, my knees sweat in them.

I've heard of people using a bit of saran wrap (plastic cling film). I tried it once and it was warm but it felt sweaty after a while and I was glad to take it off. I prefer the neoprene.

DeFeet Kneekers. They are inexpensive, stay up, and keep your knees protected from the cold.

If you want Leg Warmers I suggest Bellwethers for the same reasons.

+1
I use these on my 63 year old knees the temps drop into the 40s and low 50s.
