Giant date of manufacture code ?
Is there anyone that can direct me to where I might find how to figure the date of manufacture of a Giant bike ? The bike is contemporary ,a 21 speed.

Do you have any idea how old the bike is? If it could be classed as Classic & Vintage, ask the folks in that forum.

If you can read the serial number on the bottom (kinda hard with the thick paint on the bottom of the crank area ) you can call giant 1-800-USGIANT and ask for Mike in the warranty dept. give him that number they have a lot of manuals, and the dude is right on time . He nailed my Giant Innova 1992 even told me the paint color,chain ring sizes and everything you could want to know . At least it worked for me anyway. Good luck , the giant I have will be rebuilt and may even be cremated with me I LOVE IT ....
