What is the bike you use?

Ok, I open this post (I dont know if there is another one like it) just to know the type of bike you use, the bikes you use, put a picture if you decide to and any accesories you have put into the bike.

I own a Giant Boulder MTB 2008. It has 21 shifts, a shimano trigger shifter, kick stand, computer. It has a rear blink light. Front 1 80mm suspension. Only one bottle holder. A GIRO sticker xD

Giant OCR 2, 2006. It has a rear rack which I add panniers to when commuting, grocery panniers for shopping and sometimes a rack trunk bag. Two bottle holders, two headlights and a rear blinkie (need to get a better rear light) and yes....a kickstand! Oh the horror.

This vintage 1972 Bottecchia Giro d'Italia is my main ride:

I take this modified vintage 1974 Peugeot UO8 (with cross tires mounted) for riding the MUP and gentle off-road trails:

I ride this Panasonic PT-3500 to work every day and to run errands - I have panniers and lights for it:

I use this Bianchi for fast club rides:

I take the Bianchi Pista for fixed gear riding:

And I use this Marin for mountain biking (yes that's yours truly ):

I use this for commuting, weekend rides:

I use this for short trips to the beach, anywhere I leave it chained up unattended:

I use this to practice my DIY repair/tuning. I'd rather **** up a free piece of crap than something I actually like. Although I do plan on restoring it to proper working order in time for winter fun time

I don't have current pictures..but..I ride a Scott SUB 30. changes: toe clips/straps, ergon grips, cyclocomptuer, Hemp cycle bag, rear blinkie. I have fenders and a rack, but don't really like either. pump and water bottle are in backpack.

next upgrade will be puncture resistant tires. then powergrips.

A 2006 Trek Portland is my default bike. I bought it new as a leftover, 51 weeks ago and have put 4,600 miles on it so far. It's my four-season daily commuter and grocery-getter. It's also my first choice for social rides, and any ride over 40 miles. With a tire swap, I take it off-road too. It's a fast yet refined ride.

My second bike is a Y2K Trek 1000. I bought it used--or rather abused--for $100. Then I threw away most of it--keeping only the frameset, stem, bars and brake calipers--and rebuilt it. It's my fast and frisky fun ride bike. It's like a puppy--it always wants to run and play. I have to be careful because Yellow Bike always pulls a few extra watts out of me, whether I want to or not. The rack lets me commute with it when I'm in the mood.

My two favorite things in life are libraries and bicycles. They both move people forward without wasting anything.

Lucky for me, I work at a library and bike to work.

Pretty much ever forum here has a "Sticky" with a thread containing photos of people's bicycles.

I've got a 2007 GT Legato 3.0. I've really enjoyed it. Kinda looking around for an offroad bike now.

Mine is a bit different... it's a 1985 Fuji Sagres Mixte, I changed it into a semi-utility/touring bike, it's one of the most fun bikes I have rode in years.

If your talking about my Mixte frame Fuji up above, they are not that rare, but you don't really see them everyday... But, they are a really popular frame style. Go to "Search the Forums" at the top of the page, and put in Mixte as a search word, and you will find a 14 pages or so of thread with pictures of hundreds of Mixtes in the Classic & Vintage forum... Called "show us your Mixte (Mechindrics new happy Place)...

If you were not talking about my bike, please ignore this message...
