He's very extreme, but he does have a good point...when there's a bike path that goes the same place as the road, the bikers should be on that path, not the road.

Check out the comments on that Video. That is a multi Access path. Besides something that thin I wouldn't not consider a bike path, especially competing with space with walking folk. Though being the extremely life loving individual I am I would use the path just to stay out of the way of ID10Ts like the dude in the video.
That dude really needs to reevaluate his life. I agree some people take up entirely too much space when they are riding bikes and it makes it dangerous for them and the cagers alike. But when people do that I don't flip out; I just pass them.

The bikepath is probably really a MUP, which means it probably has a speedlimit <= 15mph.
There was no freakin reason why that idiot couldin't have easily (and safely) passed the cyclist

The first cyclist he tapes knows how to ride. Way over to the right for traffic to get around him. The Second cyclist was a FRED, which I can admit I can see why the angry driver would say such things.

Every day a winding road
I used to say the same thing about the road that goes through a state park where I have my sailboat. I would always wonder why someone would ride the road when there was a perfectly good path through the park. Once I started riding and rode the path once or twice I knew why the other cyclists take the road. The traffic on the path can drive you insane.

Yeah, for the two or three hundred feet that we saw of it. At 20 mph that takes about 7 to 10 seconds to cover. Who knows what else is on the MUP just another 300 feet further down.
You know what else was empty? The road! No reason why a motorist can't just go around. Neither of those bikes were in anyone's way.

The first guy is inches away from the grass and gets buzzed by every third motorist. Hardly a relaxing or safe way to ride.

All he proved was that he's just another dumb-as-dirt idiot. Unfortunately the world is full of them and they're allowed to breed, drive, and vote.

Women worldwide will be fighting each other to date this guy just for his pleasantly attractive personality. I can see now why he's doing his Youtube videos. Misery loves company and in his regular life he's more than likely generally depressed and very.....very......... alone.

Bicycles are vehicles and can ride on the road. I have a local, bike path that I believe is dangerous. It parallels a wide 4 lane road with a broad median. It have many entrances to parking lots going across it and it is very close to the 4 lane road. Crossing each entrance is a good way to get nailed by a driver turning left or right from the main road. Remember this is FL and virtually no one uses turn signals. In this situation, riding on the road is definitely safer.

my favorites:
people who think it's 'cute' to take a walk with Fido or Fifi off the leash
dog walkers with six dogs on leashes blocking the entire path
ear-phoned walkers, joggers in the middle of the path
gaggles of gibbering flibbertigibbets socializing in a circle, blocking peds and cyclists
FREDs who ride three abreast
(although i will *always* slow down when a family with youngsters are on their bikes)

Hardly relaxing for sure. I wouldn't ride on that road, but that fellow chooses to. If he wants to put himself in that danger that is his right.

The guy in that video doesn't EVER want to come around me, or my riding buds. Car or not, he'll lose.

What video are you watching? Buzzed by every third motorist? Where? If you are talking about the video from the OP's post then you would never ride on a road anywhere. The road is a low speed suburban road. There was no "buzzing" that I can see.
