Lifecycle hometrainer or spinbike

hi, in the evening I train using my hometrainer - question; my body position is a bit different compared to sitting on my bike. I don't really enjoy it, after about 45 minutes my whole butt area is numb... tried several positions however not a real succes. Would a spinning bike positions the body more like being on a real bike?
I am tempted to try one however does anybody has experience in spinning?

Why not get a trainer to put your actual bike on?

Possible, but I like to keep my bike downstairs and not in the attic... two stairs up in the house.
