Cheapo Bike Rack

Just wanted to mention one more time that Home Depot has a fold-down bike rack for $4.99. I have two in my garage, and they wrok pretty well for my kind of maintenance - lubricating my chain, filling tires, adjustments, etc. No, not as good as one of those $100+, but for someone like me it works great. In fact, I use one to store my bike when not riding it.

They are so cheap and so handy, and modifications could be made (i.e. add a clamp of some sort) to make them even more usable. The top tube simply sits on the bend in the clamp.

Hey DnvrFox,

I got three of those! I use them all over. I've got one mounted up high and set two bikes on it. Another mounted to the edge of my workbench which I use as my repair stand. I use cut up strips of inner tubes to strap the bike down. I use the third mounted to the wall near my indoor trainer which holds either my bike or my wife's depending on who's is being used!

BTW, I saw almost the same design at a bike shop and they wanted $15 for it! Just goes to show you the discounts those mass-merchant shops get!
