I've now joined the ranks of those who "have crashed"

Theres 2 types of cyclists, those who have crashed and those who will crash. I'm surprised I survived in the latter group this long.

In a Duathlon this morning I was headed for transition on my bike and the dismount point was not clearly marked at all. A race official (I guess) points to a line quite a bit forward of where I assumed the dismount point would be and goes "stop here", of course right when i was 3 inches from it, so I didn't want to get DQed so I jammed on my front brake (should have jammed on BOTH), and proceeded to do an endo right over the handlebars! Luckily no damage to the bike other than some ripped bar tape. No damage to me except some scrapes and bruises. I got back up and finished the race, placed 2nd in my age group... Pure adrenaline. Now I'm hurting!

I found a bruise I didnt even realize I had like a couple days later... and its suspiciously the shape of my bar end..... so thats why you need the caps! I could imagine the injury to be much worse without them! LOL
