How many of you like the Blues?

Among others, Blues music is one of my favorites. I know this isn't a bike related post but I had to let you guys that appreciate talent see what I found. This doesn't happen often but I was amazed at how many young talented guitar players there are. Get a load of this youngster.

My I-Pod is mainly filled with blues and as I ride solo- It is with me on most rides. Nothing better than John lee Hooker or Leadbelly to give cadence up the steep hills.

Listen to Woody's Roadhouse http://www.wfpk.org/index.php on 91.9 WFPK Radio Louisville Friday and Saturday nights Midnight to 6AM Eastern time; also The Saturday Night Blues Party from 9pm til Midnight.

Live streaming in MP3, RealPlayer and Windows Media.

It is the Real Deal for Blues; no young punk cover artists. Record it and listen to it on a player while cycling. Satisfaction Guaranteed!

I listened to the blues all the time in high school, less now though. The kid was good for his age, but his fingers had a serious slouch that I hope he fixes.

Oh, I saw Robert Cray a few years ago when he toured with Clapton. Great show.

And the BEST OF ALL...SRV...Rest in Peace Brother! He's was so good, you don't even have to say his name.
Lee Michaels,Jojo Gunn,John Mayal to name a few more.

Those kids aren't singing/playing the blues, they don't even know what blues is.They're just good copy machines.

I'm a bluesaholic. It's nearly all I listen too. I've been getting into Muddy Waters and Howlin' Wolf lately. Really great stuff.

One of the nicest things about my new car (and one I would have overlooked) has been the XM radio. I normally leave it on the blues channel. I like the broad range of musical styles. It's also cool on a road trip not to be changing CDs all the time or having the radio stations constantly fadeing out.
