knocked out by a bug 3 or 4 days before race!
Ok so I have the annual Rotorua to Taupo 100km Flyer this Saturday. I am/was hoping for a 2hr30min time (33min quicker than last year) with an average of 40kmh. However on Tuesday I woke up feeling like ***** with headache and an angry tummy etc so have been at home etc. Today, wednesday, I am feeling a fair bit better and eating again. I am trying to drink plenty. What should I eat and drink between now and Saturday to get me as good as possible? I am at a point again where with some more food I could probably go out on the bike this afternoon or tomorrow.

I think you should just rest another day or two and make sure it's completely out of your system. Head back out when your firing on all cylinders. Good luck on the ride Saturday!

Every lane is a bike lane
What Hillyman said. Make sure your body is not still fighting this bug.

Well the apetite is back.... so I'm eating like a pig... or a king - take your pick! The extra sleep I have been getting while staying home from school is helping.
What can I eat to get my energy back up to 100%?
