Crazy Sites on Campus - Bikes growing up in trees!
Part of my daily commute to the college campus takes me through the dorm complex.
I've seen lots of crazy things , but this is the first bike related scenario.
A few had already be pulled back down, but other students were arriving only
to exclaim; "HEY! That's my bike!"
So, apparently, if you are looking for a bike, maybe look up in the trees and you
will find some ready to pick!

Nothing new here, in my youth, my friends would hang each others bike on the top rung of a wooden power pole's climbing spikes.

In high school there where a gang of kids in town that would steal bikes and throw them in the public pool. Cops told me it was the first place they would look when someone reported a bike missing, even found a lawn mower or two in there.
Pools been gone for years now, good old days...

Here in Uppsala, Sweden, there's a little river that runs right through the middle of town. Every year, they dust off a truck with a sort of claw-hand crane thing to pull a couple hundred bikes out of the water.
Bike theft is rampant here in Sweden (Norway, Denmark...). Mostly it's someone walking along and deciding, 'Hmm. I don't want to walk any more. Oh look! A bike not locked with an inch thick horseshoe lock. I think I'll 'borrow' it!'
