Is this Bianchi Eros a deal? (Craig's List)
Found this on Craig's list. I am supposed to go look at it today. Looks like a good deal, but I don't know much about Bianchi's. It's a 1998. Seller says it weighs 18lbs.
This would be for my daughter (5'4") who rides every day, currently on a Schwinn Varsity fixie. (Ugh. No offense to Schwinn people or fixie people..)
Any thoughts? I'd appreciate any advice.

"600 wheels"? 650 perhaps? Smaller than 700. A bit harder to find tires for but they are available.
Compared to a Varsity fixie, this would be a delicate bicycle. And a faster bicycle.
Would this be the right tool for the job?

hyperbole aside, $300 seems a good price. a new Eros runs around $1300 and is made in Taiwan. $300 for one made in Italy seems fair (assuming good condition).

650 tires aren't common but are making a small comeback, thanks partly to Grant Petersen's attempts to revive them. If that turns out to be what it has, and you need some, you can find them at www.rivbike.com. I converted an old Bridgestone of my wife's from 700 to 650, to get room for wider tires, and she enjoys it much more now.
