Joeybike simulator/game
I just realized i'd never posted the newer version of the game in this thread, so here it is ---->here<----
-----------------------------------------------------------
I made a little flash "game" yesterday and today about stop-sign running on a bike - inspired by joeybike, of course, among others.
game should be here, if not, I'll probably have to zip it or something. (I can't figure out how to embed swf's)
arrow keys to move, and try to go up and down the vertical road - that's it (no score, no way to finish the game except to crash). If it doesnt work, try clicking anywhere in the screen. Keep in mind this is barely two days' work, so it's probably very buggy.
-----------------------------------------------------------EDIT:
I posted a second version of the game with dynamic traffic and an endless road (well only if you go up, and even then only for the duration of the game).
This is the direct link to the game's *.swf file, which can be opened with any browser.
This is a link to a googlepages site with two different sizes of the game embedded.
Notes:
(1)To minimize the 'lag' factor on my computer, there can only be 20 cars on screen at one time, i.e. the 21st car is deleted, which means cars might disappear if you stay at the same intersection for a while.
(2)Its still relatively laggy on my computer, which means it might be on yours
(3)It's pretty buggy, with cars spawning going upwards often overlapping, as with left-turning cars.

Funny.
Games are good practice for Flash programming, (I worked at Macromedia, years ago).

Every day a winding road
Kind of like the bicycle version of Frogger.

Thanks for the comments - I uploaded a more recent version here (most notable change is the ability to ride off towards the right)
