Santa Bikes Around Town
I have a bike and a Santa suit, so..........
Christmas afternoon Santa took to his bicycle and rode around town. What a blast! So many smiles from people, laughs, and waving. People taking photos with their cell phone cams.
Santa had 4 dozen candy canes, which lasted about an hour. The children loved it! Many came out, running to the road. Momma's came out with their cameras, "Can we take a photo of you with our kids, Santa?"
This may have to become a tradition.
Among the interesting experiences, a lady asked to take Santa's photo, then asked, "So, did you loose a bet or something?" Santa explained he was doing it for fun, and giving out candy to the children. After several questions, the lady introduced herself, she was a reporter for a local newspaper!
Bringing joy to others, isn't that one of the things we should do at Christmas time?

Santa has to do something to wind down from the stress of 48 hours constant delivery.

I wore a Santa hat while riding around yesterday. One thing I figured out is that the temperature would need to be right before wearing a Santa suit. The 60's wouldn't cut it!
Looks like a great time, be sure and check your newspaper for pictures of yourself.

One of my buddies looks just like Santa, and gets a lot of enjoyment out of playing Santa. As do the kids that see him. My sister saw a picture of us taken during the summer on my fridge, and asked what I was doing with Santa during the summer - she seemed kind of disappointed when I told her he was really an alderman.

Cool! Now you have to go buy a dozen copies for keepsakes!

Looks like fun. Snowed most of Christmas day in Reno so virtually no kids out and the roads were SLIPPERY for biking. I need to get a set of studded tires for one of the bikes.

I'm glad you didn't crash. That would have been a bad site for the kids to see Santa lying on the side of the road.

That was a bit of a concern, as I knew I'd probably be riding slow, and doing lots of stopping. So I changed out my pedals, took off the clipless ones and put on the platform pedals...
