Bicycle stands, Indoor storage
Hi folks:
What do you feel is the best kind of stand for indoor storage? Planning to store on the floor upright. Want a simple stand that will not damage bike and not likely to tip over. Don't like to rely on leaning it against stuff. Not a big fan of the "slide the wheel into the slot" style. It will be inside my garage/house, so security is not an issue.
Thanks!

I've got one that the non-drive crank slips into vertically. I love it. It's compact, sturdy and reliable. The only problem is that I don't remember the brand and I can't find any logo markings on it.
For Christmas this year a friend of mine made me a wooden copy. It's pretty wonderful too and a lot more beautiful than the steel original.

You could always spring for an actual repair-stand, like a Park PCS-9, which would serve for storage - as well as doing overhauls and the like.

I have two of these and really like them:
https://www.deltacycle.com/product.php?g=52
Very sturdy, can be easily moved,no holes in the walls. Even if you only have one bike, you can always put a board across the other two arms to make a shelf to hold gear.

I use something like this:
https://www.amazon.com/Delta-Matisse-...sg_ai_-2_2_tit
Just rest the bike on the stays. I've got two very high end bikes in my garage on them and they never have scratched the bike or fallen over.

You should build something custom. Nothing like DIY bike projects. And if I can do it, anybody can.
