I have 4. 3 operational - 2 road, 1 'cross/commuter and one early 80s Schwinn Voyageur touring bike hanging from the rafters awaiting overhaul. That's after just one year of regular cycling. I may need a bigger garage.

Two road bikes.
One is a 3 year old Raleigh R600 that has been converted to my commuter.

The other is my baby... my 2001 Litespeed Tuscany.

I'm not as fortunate as some folks; I don't have a garage.
So my bikes sleep in the living room.

4.

Two road bikes, My Klein Quantum Race is really a race bike and my original road bike, a Scott which I keep for airlines to sack.
This bike has traveled from Italy,France, Spain to Tahiti, when British Air refused to unload it upon returning to Los Angeles.
Had it been my Klein, afraid there would have been a terrible scene at the airport that day. Worst thing, I did not get to accompany it there. Plus I sometimes like the feel of a steel road bike.

My Fuji touring bike. and

A hybrid/mountain bike- I rarely use off the road. A Nishiki hybrid. Also qualifies as my wife's bike- whom I incessantly invite to join me on the trails over complaining of how much time I use to ride. I put the grocery panniers and all that on to intice her. So I need all my bikes. Last bike tour to Provence almost bought back a flashy aluminum Peugeot and said goodbye to my Scott. It would have like Tahiti.

I now have 60+ bikes. Yup. that's right; 60 and counting.

I collect bikes, so they aren't all used as riders, but they are rideable.

That's nothing. My friend John has about 200 bikes. His garage and his basement is full of bikes lined up like sardines in a tin.

I have two bikes, one road, one mountain; I used both for commuting when I was still a corporate slave.

Two bikes--nothing to brag about. BUT--

ZERO CARS! --that's the figure I'm proud of.

Right now, John is strange.

In 20 years, his family will be running a museum.

I said one!

That's b'cuz I only ride one. I have many (some rideable, some not, some only rideable by others, some dismembered), perhaps
8 or so.

But only one for the road (plus I gave away my baby, by Schwinn
Traveller III, the first bike I bought with my own money back in '79.)

I also have a Schwinn girl's sting-ray bike with high-rise handlebars and banana seat.

Three:

1. Marinoni Leggero road bike. [Blue]
2. 1997 Specialized S-Works M2 MTB. [Mango yellow]
3. 1992 Specialized Rockhopper Sport MTB utility bike. [Metallic green]

No cars. Don't even know how to drive.

That's all, though I have my eye on a really nice Kona Jake the Snake cyclocross bike... and I recently came into an unexpected amount of money... and I invested most of it resposibly, but I still have some left over that I'd like to spend on a luxury... And the bike is PURPLE!

BTW Mike... You are like unto a god. I am not worthy to hold my head up in the shadow of your copious bikeage. I avert mine eyes.

Hey, man, a Le Tour may be retro, but it isn't a bad road bike. It will get you there and back. It is a chro-mo lugged frame made in Japan of good components (for it's day; early 1980's).

Hail to you, Dirtgrinder, for keeping a good bike on the road rather than letting it go to waste.

I have about a dozen, most rideable, a couple of projects, a couple I'm going to give away and a couple for others to use, and several faves.

Ride 'em all
