Biggest Loser Physical Challenge: 24-hour bike ride
Did anyone catch this? This was on last week's episode (2009-02-24), I've only just now watched it. The teams had to ride as far as they could go during a 24-hour period. Each team had one bike set up on a trainer, and they were allowed to change the rider whenever they wished.
The winning team went 301 miles. For winning, they each will get a "customized" Trek.
But if you watch it, how many of them are going to want to ride it? I didn't see anybody move the seat up or down. I didn't see anybody even bother changing gears. They spent most of the challenge being miserable and in pain and talking about how much of a hell being on the bike was, how hard it was to ride.
I did a quick search and didn't see anyone else talking about this, so I figured I'd bring it up.

I caught part of it and my first thought was how uncomfortable and poorly fitted the bikes were. That was pure crock on their trainers part.

I watched it also. Pretty funny. You had a small girl riding it one minute and a tall guy riding it the next. No adjustments. No wonder it was hell. I could imagine someone that has probably never ridden more than a mile being on a bike for hours and being so poorly out of shape. Doesn't sound fun to me.
Custom Trek huh? Wonder if that means they adjust it to fit the rider?

Yeah, I wasn't sure what "customized" meant. I'm hoping it meant fitted, but they didn't really make it clear.
They also didn't give them any hand positions, just a flat bar.
