Bicycle/ rockclimbing voyage?

I'm going to do a bicycle/ climbing trip sometime this year. I'm goin' go from Lancaster CA.(N. L.A County) to through out the Sierras Lower Eastside to
Bridgeport about 600 miles round trip. I'm going to relax and take my time with it. I have a B.O.B trailer and I'm just going to fill it with a pack filled with everything (camping gear climbing gear no trad gear it's too heavy.) I think I'm just going to bring shoe's & a harness an rappel / belay stuff , no rope (but I'm not sure on that one yet). I plan on soloing easy routes in the Sierra and doing lots of sport climbing.Bumming partners and such.

My question is this. Have any of you guys done something like this? I'm excited 'bout this lil' adventure. Who knows maybe I'll take the circus state to state. ~Bob~

Yes...becuase I will be bicycling I would like to cut down on wieght. Climbing gear wieghs a bit (depending on what you are doing 15-40 pounds just for fall protection) so if I meet people in a given climbing area I can use their gear with them on a given climb. It works out because I can belay or swap leads and these actions in climbing are worth the same as money is worth in the "real" world.

haha, just read your post on the rockclimbing.com forum. I've never done anything like that but it sounds fun and would love to combine climbing and touring. I've just always thought I wouldn't be able to lug all the trad gear, ropes, etc. with me. A little trailer definitely solves that problem though. Have fun, I'm biking to the gym after work today, still too cold to climb outside where I live unfortunately.
