Study about no-nose bicycle saddles

Just passing on an interesting study:

An innovative study appearing in the August issue of The Journal of Sexual Medicine examined, for the first time, if noseless bicycle saddles would be an effective intervention for alleviating deleterious health effects, erectile dysfunction and groin numbness, caused by bicycling on the traditional saddle with a protruding nose extension.

So the purpose of these saddles is to promote erectile function while cops patrol on bicycle? Interesting...

OH!

THAT'S why they say "turn around and put your hands on the hood!"

Note:
This was just some humour. I have great respect and love for the police....well...not LOVE love but you know I like the police...well....not in THAT sort of way, but rather...oh never mind....

This study is based on a real need for people who spend long hours with a saddle horn pressing
on arteries and other very important blood vessels that feed the lower extremities so I find no
humor or reason to be snarky about it.

If they are riding the bike in such a way that they are sitting on the nose of the saddle, those police departments should hire a fitting coach.

Nightshade -- there's plenty of room for seriousness and a little lighthearted humor on even important subjects.

Have anybody ever rode on a bike with one of them? I hate the way they feel. You'd be suprised (maybe not you guys but I was) on how much you use the nose or horn of the saddle to lean into a turn. GAH! I thought I was gonna crash. I'm sure you get used to them but I'll take my old Bell and Serfas saddles any day.

+1! I always felt like I was sliding off the front, too. Though mine DID relieve the pressure as advertised. I've only used it on my hybrid; haven't moved it over to my road bike.
