Had good ride today.

A buddy of mine and I rode down to Newport from the house this morning, about 24.5 mi. It took about 2 hrs. On the way down, we thought, "Man, this is easy, we're hitting 19-20 mph." On the way back, we figured out why. Whoo!..headwinds are brutal.

But we also noticed how tolerant people are getting with bikes. Waiting to turn, giving us plenty of room, it was really kind of nice. The only problem we had was when we went through the tunnel under Union Terminal, we got passed by a county van and some Joe Schmo in a truck. On a double yellow. Granted, there is a stop sign at the end, but they saved like 5-10 seconds. No biggie, it was just a nice ride.
