Spray paint it with many colors (or just one) and use it for lawn art. If you add baskets, you can plant flowers in them. In the winter you can build a snowman that's "riding" it!

Put it in Craigslist as "Fixie Compatible" for $400?
Or just list it there for $10 or $20 if you don't want to rip anyone off?

Around here, if you put a bike out front on the trash pile, there's a guy that makes the rounds in an old pickup that will grab it. If it's sellable, I assume he sells it, otherwise, it goes for scrap metal, I assume. Gets used either way.

You said it. I have access to dozens of trashed bikes every year. I only take the old Schwinns, (or better) or anything that doesn't need too much work. I just don't have enough time for the rest. I give the keepers the once over, and then sell 'em. If a bike goes to a friend or co worker, they get it for 0-30 dollars. The rest go on Craigs list and sell for double that. They are always bought by the first person who shows up.
