Schwinn Bike Computer numbers for wheel size
I just got one of these, and I KNOW I'll lose the manual so I took 2 minutes and typed it out. When you turn on a schwinn bike computer it asks for a wheel number. Here is the chart.
Schwinn Bike Computer Wheel Size numbers Wheel Diameter Number 20" 1596 22" 1759 24" 1916 26" (650A) 2073 26.5" (Tubular) 2117 26.6" (700x25C) 2124 26.8" (700x28C) 2136 27" (700x32C) 2155 28" (700B) 2237 w/ tire ATB 24X1.75 1888 ATB 26x1.4 1995 ATB 26x1.5 2030 ATB 26x1.75 2045 ATB 23x2 (650B) 2099 27x1 2136 27x1 1/4 2155 Hope this helps someone other than myself! Take care, |
I just had to say this was super duper helpful. It just so happens that I did lose my manual.
Thanks! |
Pfft don't need any manual.
http://sheldonbrown.com/cyclecomputer_calibration.html And there's a way method of deriving the number which all bike comps use... which is also on that page. |
and thats tire circumference in mm, not wheel diameter.

thanks
That little piece of paper, is so important. I knew it was important, so I saved it till my little one used it,
to make a picture. I do thank you for letting us all have a copy. As the tin man said" only if I had a brain." Well since you did, We are all coverd. thanks |
The numbers also match the cheapo Bell computer.
|
Yes they do, I got the Bell computer a while back and it works very well for a $15 unit. I checked it for accuracy on a treadmill ^_^ and it was .2 MPH slow at 10 MPH, which I thought was pretty good for that price.

Use your current setting x 1.02. Or let some air out of your tire:) Keep in mind that most any digital display is +/- one digit. BTW, my 26x1.50" tires actually measure 1.6" as determined by the "wrap a string around the tire and measure the string" method. |
I still have my chart but my beady little eyes have a hard time seeing the small print so thanks!
