I'll still be able to hear traffic around me.
I figured out a way to listen to & enjoy music while riding. I use a Vision Day Bag, it fastens to the back of my seat. In the side pockets I put 2 small portable speakers & in the bag I have an inexpensive CD player. I can now listen to CD's while riding and still hear what is going on around me. Been thinking of a way to do this with out using head phones, which I am against and consider unsafe. But listening to the music through speakers is the same as doing so in a vehicle.
I've already tested this to see how it would work & discovered I had to wrap the CD player in foam. The bumping & jarring caused it to skip, despite the anti-skip feature, so much it shuts itself off. The foam should prevent that from happening. I'll know for sure the next time I ride.
I'm using an inexpensive CD player just in case this one is damaged, etc.
