Seat Recommendation

Hello! I bought a new Trek 7300 last year. It has a stock seat on it and I am finding it to be a harsh ride. Let me back up a bit and say that three years ago I had surgery for a pilonidal cyst. It was not a pleasant experience to say the least. I felt a bike would allow me to get in better shape and enjoy some cardio away from my elliptical. Well the long and the short of it is that my bike seat irritates the old scar tissue and causes it to again re-fester. Does anyone have any personal experience with this problem and is there any seat recommendation that would take the stress off the area about 2-3 inches down from the tail bone? I really enjoyed the time I got on my new bike but I had to quit after only about 25 miles of riding. Thanks for any tips or help!
