Yeah, it's been posted before.

It seems rather pointless to me. It looks neat in the photo. But you need the "bike lane" emblems and stripes all along the route, not just at the one spot where you're at. By the time a car can see that emblem, they can see you a whole lot better, so it's wasted effort.

I think it could be useful, if it could effectively project onto the pavement about a hundred feet back. As it is, Stephen is absolutely correct, they can see you better than the icon.

No. It would be almost invisible to a following motorist. A reflective safety vest is a far better investment. The idiot in the advert doesn't have a rear light and is wearing dark clothing at night. In fact this is such a worthless concept I wonder if it was an April Fool's Day joke.

if they reverse the technology and sell it to the CITY, so they can build it all over the bike paths all over the city, then that will work.

As it is right now... useless....
