Alex TD-20 Rims: Retail equivalent?

I have a Marin Muirwoods 29er. It is equipped with Alex TD-20 rims as per their website (and what the rim says). Alex does not acknowledge that they make such a rim on their website. I know that companies cut deals with each other for "propriatary" bike parts blah blah blah...

Does anyone know which rim the TD-20 actually is? If there isn't an exact equivalent, is there one that's close? I'm trying to figure out what my tire options are, but I'm finding that tires aren't sized in inches (29x1.6). I was looking at the WTB Vulpine 29er and the Kenda Kross 700x42 (same width as stock and 1/10th the price of the vulpines). About the tire choices: I'm looking for something that is slick in the middle with knobs on the sides for gravel, hardpack, and fire roads... I want to get off road a little, but my primary usage will be on the road.

Can anyone help me wade through the BS to find out what will fit my bike?

Downhill, Mountainbike, and Cross, on their website, should get you close. Pick one that looks similar. Check your current rims for width, it will be on one of their stickers.

They didn't show my OEMs either, but an Adventurer was a heavy duty look alike.

It will probably be this one, just 20mm wide, instead of 17. http://www.alexrims.com/product_deta...=4&cat=4&id=85
