    DIY Jerseys

I work for a museum and we just opened a very cool health exhibit. We've decided to arrange for t-shirts and jerseys for our various ride, run, walk staff teams to wear that promote the museum, specifically the health exhibit. Because we do these things kind of randomly, we need to find a company who prints small orders, on-demand. The vendors our marketing dept and our retail shop use only do very large orders. We'd love a company that would take our design and keep it on file for orders in the future as things come up. Our graphics folks will do the design from our already approved marketing logos.

We have 8 ppl doing a big ride next weekend with folks doing everything from 32 to 100 miles. Unfortunately, we thought of this idea too late to get anything printed. But we have another ride coming up in July - a short urban "midnight" ride and I believe there's probably a "team" training for some runs.

What companies have you all used and been happy with?

Pick up a Bicycling Magazine and look through the ads in the very back pages. I've seen several companies that will do small orders. I'm not sure about their turn time, though.
    That's gonna leave a mark.

Thanks! Anyone have any companies they have ordered from who they'd recommend?

Most areas have lots of small screenprinters that do small runs, but they run on a tight budget so don't have a lot of advertising clout. Try looking in the phone book for screen printers, also the Chamber of Commerce (try their website). Also try youth sports programs (little league, pop-warner football Ayso soccer) as they usually have local connections. You might have to supply your own shirts (you can buy 'em by the box from places like Hanes.com for a discount), then they'll do the printing for you for a nominal charge. Also, before buying shirts, ask what the cost will be for screening on different fabrics - it varies depending on poyester or cotton, smooth or rough, and what you'll be doing with it in the end (casual wear of sweatin' on a century bike ride).

Have dealt with them and they're very good. We also use them for corporate stuff. Quick turn and great quality.
